The Rotary Club of Shanghai Pudong Lujiazui is proud to welcome 7 Paul Harris Fellows and two Multiple Donors among our members. The Paul Harris Fellowship recognizes significant contributions to the Rotary Foundation. Patrick Hopkins and Brinton Scott led through the award ceremony at the Kempinsky 30 Floor, overlooking Lujiazui. President Patrick commenced the meeting by ringing the new Club Bell, a donation by Henry Chen. Patrick recapped the Clubs history from the beginnings as satellite club, 8 month provisional status and the charter in 2015. Brinton recalled the promise that every founding member made to contribute to the Rotary Foundation and read the recognition of the Rotary Foundation. Certificates and Pins were awarded by Patrick and Brinton to the new Paul Harris Fellows. Guest Past District Governor and Paul Harris Society Member Jean-Marie Poinsard awarded the Multiple Donor recognitions.
The club celebrated the PHF Award together with a group of French Rotarians, joining the Club meeting on their return from the Rotary Convention in Seoul, Korea. Among the guests were past and present District Governors and Presidents. Guests were introduced and Banners exchanged. After the ceremonial part, Rotarians and guests enjoyed an evening of fellowship.
